Amana ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information the app uses and how. Amana is a free app built as a charitable effort (sadaqah), and we do not sell your data.
Location. Amana uses your device's location to calculate accurate prayer times and the Qibla (direction to the Kaaba) for where you are. Your location is used on your device to perform these calculations. We do not sell your location or use it to track you across other apps or services.
Feedback. If you choose to send feedback through the app, we collect the information you provide (such as your message and any contact details you choose to include) so we can read it and improve Amana. Providing feedback is entirely optional.
We use the information described above only to provide and improve the app's features — calculating prayer times and Qibla, and responding to or learning from feedback. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
The app relies on a third-party Qur'an content provider to display Qur'an text, translations, and recitations. This service may process limited data (such as which chapters or verses are requested) as described in its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review the policies of any third-party services where relevant.
We retain feedback only for as long as needed for the purposes described above. Location data is used to perform calculations and is not retained by us for tracking purposes.
Amana is suitable for a general audience and is not directed at collecting personal information from children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
You can disable location access at any time in your device settings (note that prayer times and Qibla require location to work). You can choose not to submit feedback. You can control notification permissions in your device settings.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
